Huzzah! I'm back here again!

"What happened in your life between this post and the last, Gumby?" Asked literally nobody in the history of ever.

Well, today is my birthday yet again, I've been told these events are annual. I'm seventeen now and almost done with my junior year of high school which is a blessing and a curse. Like, thank fuck. I'm so damn happy I'm done with school for three months but I'm also dreading my last year of high school [and beyond]! It's... intimidating.
FIrst of all, formal US education is kind of everything I've ever known thus far, it'll be strange to not have eight hour school days [minimum] and have my limits be tested by my peers in an eclectic array of methods. Like, is 'autonomous' really a new word for you...? And ebony? As an AP Language & Composition student? Are you fucking serious?
There's also just... lack of a schedule. Ideally, I'd like to go to college, however, it's so damn expensive with late stage capitalism and all. Even if I do go, it'll be drastically different than formal US education. For the better, I hope; most of my school memories suck ass.

Unoriginal of me, but I'd like to pursue computer science. I want a bachleor's at least. I chose this field to study during freshman year for the money, but now, it's a genuine interest of mine. I've completed both AP Computer Science and AP Computer Science Principles... and now I'm kind of just milling around because my school doesn't have any other computer science classes. I'm currently considering an apprenticeship somewhere or taking computer science at a local university!

I also have an internship! I have an internship. I got it in... I think March. I'm still reeling two months later because I didn't think I'd be accepted at all. I just don't think very highly of myself, I suppose.
It's a research internship in the sciences! I get to be an intern to a university professor and research a topic of anything science related [no way, almost like it's a science research internship or something].
I chose to study something astronomy related purely because computer science nerds are scary. Half-joking. I had another program in February where I coded part of a 'miniature version of science equipment' and I felt like a complete dumbass compared to everyone else, y'know? So, no computer science.
The professor who's interning me is currently studying how life originated on Earth and the possibility of life on other planets! Not my first choice; I actually wanted to study black holes and/or galaxies, but the professor's really nice and I'm not complaining. :] I also get to learn Python! Something I've never used before and I get more experience along with applying it to astronomy!!

Other things... Hmm... my friends are headcanoning me with auDHD. VERY drastic shift in topic, but yeah... I can see that. I intitially believed I only had autism but auDHD aligns with my behaviors more, somehow...? Inattentive, forgetful, impulsive, waits until the very last second to do things [COUGH-- this website...], wants to learn and do five Ultrakillion things at once... it's honestly a bit frightening! It also makes sense why even other autistic people exclude me from stuff!

Speaking of an Ultrakillion things I want to do...

I want to make a separate dedicated site for my Spider-sona purely because my autism blew it out of proportion. Do you know how embarassing it is to calculate a new Goldilocks zone for Earth because it's orbiting two stars? Do you know how embarassing it is to figure out an ideal Dyson sphere for one of said stars?? Also, constantly worrying about mischaracterization even though there's no fandom to speak of? I swear to god.
I actually got this idea from Numbers Story [which you should check out, it's really fucking cool]! My Spider-sona has nowhere NEAR as much detail and time put into it as Numbers Story but gosh!! It'd be so cool to make a personal little world building site to place and present my scrambled ideas exactly as I want to.

World building apps and websites aren't enough, I need to create my own, y'know?

I want to make it a fake Windows operating system because the "aesthetic" is the '90s, although the actual year is 2999... Shush. I just didn't want little millennial rats in my ear whining about how not every little detail is '90s accurate, so, I just set the year to 2999 instead. I also wanted computer science in there and couldn't think of a way to impliment it utilizing the present or past.

I'm so TIRED. I'm so sleepy. It's 2:30 AM. I stayed up creating an archive for my old blog posts and now I'm so sleepy...

Goodnight! Sleep tight! Don't let the bed bugs [or me] bite!
